Jimmy has been greedily nibbling on a world full of broken hearts and love-sickness since '93 and still manges to further deepen the sound with which they kicked off the emo-era in ’99 (since third album ‘Clarity’). On their eighth album ‘Damage’ the former punk-rockers from Arizona again deal in mature ballads and impressive power-riffs accompanied by catchy hooks. There are superb songs like singles ‘Damage’ and ‘I Will Steal You Back’ that remind one of their rock-solid breakthrough album ‘Bleed American’ from ’01.

Star-producer and multi-instrumentalist Alain Johannes - who has collected albums by Qotsa, Arctic Monkeys, Mark Lanegan and Belgian pride Millionaire and The Black Box Revelation on his wall over the years – notched up Jimmy Eat World's playing level back in the direction of that of their peak. A Jimmy at cruising speed is always impressive, certainly live. They've already demonstrated that amply during their previous visits to AB. It should be a feast!

Rivals Schools can come and stir things up as opener on the night. Graduated from the post-hardcore school in ’01 with their debut album ‘United By Fate’, on which they created highlights like single ‘Used For Glue’, back in the dying days of the MTV era. They packed it in in '03 and then resurfaced in ’11 with successor ‘Pedals’. They even released third album ‘found’ upon us recently and are certainly back in their old form on it!
