Legendary Italian soundtrack artists play live to film
Air avant la lettre? Goblin is an Italian instrumental institute. Master of the soundtrack. Mainly for horror and 'giallo'-style thrillers. Especially as ‘illustrateur sonore’ for the films of Dario Argento: ‘Non Ho Sonno’, ‘Tenebrae’, ‘Suspiria’, ‘Profondo Rosso’ (and soon Dracula 3D too!?)
This will indeed be a live concert by Goblin though, with their projection of the cult-hit Profondo Rosso. The opportunity to get acquainted with a seventies icon, a hyper-stylised masterpiece (from the time prior to computer-created effects.) Also the chance to immerse yourself in Goblin's, for that matter, extremely successful music: certainly their version of ‘Profondo Rosso’ + diverse ‘main themes’ from other films + quite simply excellent music.
Goblin began in 1973, strongly influenced by classics like Yes, Genesis and King Crimson. But the band encompassing Claudio Simonetti has clearly developed magnificently into the soundtrack craftsmen. A profession unto itself that they finally also come demonstrate live in AB (after the likes of La Villette in Paris).
