Brussels collective promoting progressive Club Culture
AB welcomes nightclubbers and opens its doors for Brussels nightlife collectives who organize parties in different venues. Gloom Club focuses on progressive club-culture and music. Through their events, they try to feature the best of the emerging international underground, while resolutely breaking down barriers between electronic (sub)genres and niches. Their first gig at AB presents an excellent line-up.
Softchaos - (electro, experimental, trance)
Softchaos is the pseudonym of Teresa Stout, an American dj, multidisciplinary artist, and writer specialized in research-based visual and sound art. Coming up in a wave of new electronic selectors, they have experienced rapid growth in the last year. Their experimental sets are watermarked by their melodic pairing of hard groove-driven music along with aggressive percussive tracks and far-reaching techno, weaving genres meticulously in acts of reclamation.
Jeneen - (dancehall, footwork, jungle)
Jeneen is a Palestinian DJ and selector based in London, drawing influence from her experiences in the UK underground as well as the scene back home. She is featured on influencing platforms like NTS Radio, Rinse Fm and Balamii, and has recently embarqued on an international takeover. Jeneen is known for her energetic cross-genre mixing, which includes dancehall, electro, footwork and jungle
Togo b2b DJ Takeaway - (reggaeton, electro, experimental)
Togo and DJ Takeaway are two producers/dj’s based in Brussels and Berlin, who make up 2/3 of an event row named Local Slang. This movement is built around their shared love for left-field clubmusic, through which a wide range of genres and artists are being promoted. Electronic beats infused with a healthy dose of rattling percussion, carefully designed for the club.
As always the resident Gloom DJ's will round up the night in beauty.
