Biting hardcore and raw punk are the coups de coeur of the Brits from Gallows. The songs on their debut ‘Orchestra Of Wolves’ , which often owed a debt to Black Flag, certainly had the right effect and the album immediately appeared on the radar of Bad Religion’s Brett Gurewitz, who promptly released it in the States on his Epitaph label. In May the new album ‘Grey Britain’ will be released, produced by Garth ‘GGGarth’ Richardson, and according to charismatic frontman Frank Carter it's ‘… a bleak account on the current state of the world. Britain is fucked, Grey Britain is all about what's going on socially, politically and economically in the UK and how it affects us’.
2007 Debut 'This Is Where The Fight Begins', from the Brits The Ghost of a Thousand, is a heap of biting hardcore punk tracks. On 1 June their follow-up 'New Hopes, New Demonstrations' should be released on the Epitaph label. More than enough reason to jump on the tour with Gallows and so arrive in the ABClub on Wednesday 10 July with a series of new songs under their arm.
