Frank Turner, the new Billy Bragg (with a touch of Glen Hansard from The Frames), whisper some. You really shouldn't do that in the vicinity of dedicated Bragg fans. But still, after a few listens, it was clear to us that British bard has something to offer. He writes songs that are intended to cheer up the gloomy daily grind in your average British industrial city but, what's more, nevertheless appeals to young punk kids (he's toured together with The Gaslight Anthem, The Offspring and Anti-Flag) as well as the fighting folkies that Bragg & Co have successfully been chasing up barricades for as long as we can remember. A new album will be released in September by Epitaph - be sure to have the glasses of beer ready, put on your best Flogging Molly shirt and head to the centre of Brussels on Monday 30 November for a first acquaintance with Mr. Frank Turner.
