Launch of the 3rd album by this unique Belgian band.
“For lovers of sinister beauty.” (Cobra.be)
“A developing diamond by a masterful musician.’ (Oor about the album ‘Twist’)
October will see the release of ‘City Same City’, the third album by unique Belgian band Flying Horseman. They say that the album is rooted in the desert. The African influence - Nigerian juju music and Malinese desert blues – is unmistakable. But also the intractability of music makers like the early Fleetwood Mac, the late Talk Talk, Brian Eno, Talking Heads and Joy Division are present. Koen Giesen (An Pierle, The Bony King Of Nowhere,...) was behind the dials again and is slowly but surely revealing himself as one of Belgium's Best Producers.
Horseman frontman Bert Dockx is very clearly ‘on a roll’. He has produced a new pièce de résistance, barely a year after ‘Twist’ and a few months after ‘I/II’ by Dans Dans, his other – acclaimed – band. In our latest AB Session he performed a magnificent acoustic solo version of 'Lucile'. On the same day of the CD release he will play an acoustic set right across the AB at Caroline. Catch him there at 3pm!
