Stunning exploration of traditional Arabic music and electronic processing.’
Jerusalem In My Heart is the alter-ego of Lebanese musician/producer Radwan Ghazi Moumneh. Moumneh is also co-owner of the famous Hotel2Tango studio in hometown Montreal, together with a number of members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Pretty much the entire stable of Constellation Records has recorded there. Together with analogue filmmaker Charles-André Coderre, he mixes audiovisual performance and classical melismatic song (google it!) with electronic composition, punk-ish productions and 16mm-projections as visuals (with images from the Arab Image Foundation). Ready for a new chapter in the Arabic tradition?
