Japanese sound-artist mixes field-recordings, vocals and electro
Japanese musician and sound-artist Haco received international recognition as one of the founders, singer and composer of the legendary avant-pop band After Dinner. Her work goes beyond the conventional genres due to her unique way of working, in which she uses field-recordings and ambient noises to create surrealistic compositions. One of her more recent works, ‘Qoosui’, combines traditional Japanese music with free-improv, shoegaze, musique concrète and rudimentary electro.
She has already previously released work on labels like ReR Megacorp, Tzadik and ROOM40.
