Blink-182, Sum 41, Fall Out Boy and the Madden brothers reanimate pop-punk!
When bands like Blink-182, Sum 41, Yellowcard, Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory and Simple Plan ruled the roost in the American rock charts, after the turn of the century, they always had to box up against the Madden twins… Good Charlotte strung up the hits (‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous’, ‘The Anthem’, ‘Girls & Boys’, ‘I Just Wanna Live’) like there was no tomorrow but disappeared from the scene – just like all the other pop-punk partners in crime – partly due to disappointing fifth longplayer ‘Cardiology’ from 2010.
And right when pop-punk experiences a serious rekindling, with fresh verse albums and sold-out venues by Green Day, Blink-182, Sum 41, Simple Plan, Fall Out Boy, … Good Charlotte returns too, with ‘Youth Authority’ – once again produced by veteran & legend in the genre John Feldmann (Panic! at the Disco, Story Of The Year, Papa Roach, Blink-182). Pop-punk is totally back, peeps. Just deal with it and get stupid!
