Unique set by the pioneers of cosmic electro
FORMA is a trio established in 2010 in Brooklyn, NY, by Mark Dwinell, George Bennett and John Bennett (see too: CV & JAB).
FORMA’s music is a mix of minimalism, ambient explorations, 'cosmic music' and hectic rhythms. Following the darker Off / On released on John Elliott’s influential Spectrum Spools label in 2012, there was the more dance-oriented Cool Haptics EP in 2014. Physicalist (2016), their debut for Kranky, was a shift in a new direction – their first work using acoustic instruments as well as their arsenal of (modular) synths.
For their concert in AB Salon, FORMA will prepare a unique set, more improv-oriented and making more use of wind instruments.
