All night party by most influencing Belgian electronic labels!
AB40 KICK OFF
AB turns 40 in September and we’re celebrating in style while the entire booking team takes a temporary break. Come again? Well, throughout the party season, AB is handing the keys to the programming office over to a range of national and international curators with long-term associations with the venue.
To open our fortieth season, we are planning a festive weekend with different Belgian labels at the helm: On Saturday, DEEWEE and Stroom will do the honours in the Main Hall and AB Club respectively. In keeping with tradition, Sunday will host Global Street Sounds, where the Brussels label Rebel Up! will present several artists this year.
DEEWEE presents 2manydjs + Future Sound of Antwerp + Asa Moto (live) + Phillipi + Public Possession
DEEWEE is the brainchild of the brothers Dewaele. It’s a building, a studio, a label, a record collection and a publishing house. Every DEEWEE release is written, recorded or mixed in David and Stephen Dewaele’s own building. Furthermore, each DEEWEE project has its own individual catalogue number. ‘All different. All unique. All DEEWEE.’
Stroom presents Nosedrip + Victor De Roo + David Morley (live)
We hand the keys to the AB Club to the darling of the underground, Nosedrip. He and his Stroom label will take over the night with the assistance of young Brussels DJ Victor De Roo and the legendary David Morley, who will join and play a rare live set.
