Elliott Murphy and The Normandy All Stars (with Le Havre star guitarist Olivier Durand): 'Notes From the Underground'. That's the title of the latest, excellent CD from this indestructable craftsman-singer-guitarist (out on Bang! Music). His (then still New York) debut dates from '73 already : the immediately praised 'Aquashow', followed by hits like 'Nightlights', 'Murph The Surf', 'Selling The Gold', 'Last Of The Rock Stars'... Since the end of the 80's he's been living as 'an American talent in Paris' with meanwhile 30 or so moving albums to his name and an extremely impressive live-reputation (some still even remember his overwhelming power-trio appearance at Brussels' Millennium concert!) Bruce Springsteen calls him a 'bloodbrother', but he also gets along wel with an Iain Matthews or Garland Jeffreys (and soon too with you and your guitar, your voice, your increasingly improved songs ...?).
