Boogie, disco and glam. Jesse Hughes, charismatic frontman of Eagles of Death Metal, and his studio companion Josh Homme don't mind a bit of it and they get better with every record. On new album ‘Heart On’, the gimmick and pastiche factor has completely made way for top-class catchy sleaze-rock (just listen to that single ‘Wannabe in L.A’).
Queens Of The Stone Age singer Josh Homme is nowhere to be seen live, but Hughes has gathered together a gang of completely crazy musicians who always convert his up-tempo, old school rock 'n' roll-flavored ass-shaking boogie into a huge party.
For the archives, we also just mention that our very own Tim Vanhamel from Millionaire had a prominent role in the first version of EofDM.
‘There are more important rock groups than Eagles of Death Metal, but are any of them this much fun?’ (Rolling Stone)
Support act will be no less than our national pride, The Black Box Revelation. They're currently trampling Europe (and gradually America too) with their debut 'Set Your Head On Fire', produced by Triggerfinger drummer Mario Goossens and mixed by Greg Gordon (Jet, Wolfmother). Their most recent single 'Never Alone / Always Together' is impossible to remove from the ether and their concert at prominent showcase festival Eurosonic was strongly appreciated. At the end of February you'll find them together with Eagles Of Death Metal on various European stages, including the great stage of the AB.
