Dans Dans plays their entire debut (and cult classic) from 2012
In 2012, Dans Dans – the band encompassing Bert 'Flying Horseman' Dockx – debuted with an untitled album that became an instant cult classic. The album contained distinctive versions of songs by Nick Drake (the stunning and refined ‘River Man’) and compositions by Sonny Rollins, Sun Ra and Thelonious Monk. Through their unusual approach, Dans Dans knocked down the walls between the Belgian jazz, pop and rock scenes in one fell swoop.
At the request of the fans – as some copies sell for up to 100 euro via Discogs – their debut is now being rereleased on vinyl. This reissue will already be marked by a brief tour whereby Dans Dans play their debut in its entirety, completed by a selection from their extensive back catalogue.
Line-up
Bert Dockx: guitar
Fred Lyenn Jacques: bass
Steven Cassiers: drums
