As part of MINNEAPOLIS, MON AMOUR, AB will screen the documentary ‘COLOR ME OBSESSED – A Film About The Replacements' in the presence of director Gorman Bechard.
‘COLOR ME OBSESSED – A Film About The Replacements’ is the first and also the ultimate documentary about this influential rock band from Minneapolis. Director Gorman Bechard interviewed fans, friends and like-minded musicians and succeeded in avoiding the usual ‘music documentary’ format. Hailed by Spin Magazine as ‘The Last Best Band’, The Replacements were a milestone in the American guitar scene and later lauded as a source of inspiration by artists as diverse as Green Day, Winona Ryder, Indigo Girls and They Might Be Giants.
“The Replacements should have been the next Rolling Stones, and to the people who loved them, I think they were.” (Gorman Bechard, director of ‘Color Me Obsessed’)
Following the screening of this documentary Gorman Bechard will explain how the documentary came into being and answer questions from the audience.
