The future of boisterous Belgian noise-rock is assured!
It It Anita
It it loud, It it hard, It it Anita! Four unchecked projectiles got together in Luik and came up with a crazy name for their collection of headbutt tunes. They alternate between the ominousness of And So I Watch You From Afar with the melodiousness of Foals and the madness of Raketkanon, beautifully bundled in a tight package of trashy, damned noise-rock.
Mike Goffard (Malibu Stacy) and Damien Aresta (musical collective JauneOrange) – together, the brain behind the four-member Walloon band – receive support from a very tight corner: Jason Sebastian Russo of the legendary Mercury Rev is a fan and actually mixed their debut EP, while John Agnello (producer of Pavement, Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth) handled their latest EP. Maybe their distinctive cover of Sonic Youth’s ‘Little Trouble Girl’ had something to do with that collaboration? Who knows! But what we do know is that they’re very keen to cross the language border very often in 2016!
