After a series of successful support-acts in the trail of choice British acts like Two Door Cinema Club, Kaiser Chiefs, Mystery Jets and The Pigeon Detectives, Club Smith is itching to stand on their own two legs.
After a convincing stop at the Leeds & Reading Festival ’10 (‘BBC’s Introducing Stage’), the youngsters from Leeds and York dove into the studio with Will Jackson (Kaiser Chiefs, The Cribs) and James Kenosha (Pulled Apart By Horses, Dry The River), canned their debut ‘Appetite for Chivalry’ and were able to get hold of Pias as distribution label.
With their keen, dark guitar-pop (White Lies, Kaiser Chiefs or Editors are never far removed) Club Smith will head across the European musical landscape in ’13 bearing the key to the revival of British guitar-pop. That key also fits the door to the AB Club perfectly, what a coincidence!
