Listening session for Bowieâs most influential disc
To kick his cocaine habit and reconnect with his artistic creativity, Bowie decided to move from LA to Europe in 1976. Influenced by German âkrautrockâ and after stopping off in Switzerland, Bowie soon headed for Berlin, first of all to help Iggy Pop record his album âThe Idiotâ. By the end of 1976 he had recorded the album âLowâ with Brian Eno and Tony Visconti (in France). This was the first in what would become known as The Berlin Trilogy (with âHeroesâ and âLodgerâ).
