They are Swedish, shadowed and theatrical: Avatar! And most importantly, they are back with a European tour. On Thursday 12 February 2026, the band will bring their “Metal Circus” to AB. 
Since their formation in 2001 in Gothenburg, Avatar conquered the international metal scene with powerful songs and a special, theatrical image. They combine tight choreography with special effects and razor-sharp guitars. Charismatic frontman Johannes Eckerström grew into a cinematic character, vacillating between the Joker and The Crow. With albums like “Feathers & Flesh” (2016), “Avatar Country” (2018) and the most recent “Dance Devil Dance” (2023), they continue to push musical boundaries without losing their raw energy. On stage, Avatar is an experience: riffs, aggression and extravagance. At Ancienne Belgique, expect a concert between heavy metal, melodic death metal and groove metal that will please fans of a heavy sound!
