Talk with the band and artwork designers for Tattooed Smiles
Before Black Box Revelation play the first of three shows in Ancienne Belgique on March 14, they stop by the AB Salon together with Stijn and Tim – of Brussels design office Milk and Cookies – to share the story behind their latest album with the fans. Tattooed Smiles, the fifth issue by the duo from Dilbeek, is the most personal album they have ever made. The depth that they sought in the music is also to be found in the artwork for the album. By way of a bit of trickery, there is not one but 54 different versions of the album available in stores. Jan and Dries tell us how they translated the musical vibe into the album cover, their video clips and their stage design.
