To pay homage to the Belgian monument: Arno
Arno is probably the most enigmatic artist in Belgian rock's international success story. He manages to capture the poetry and meaning of simple words through his melodies and his unique accent in the world of song.
His posthumous album, OPEX, is a real jewel that the singer bequeaths to us as a cultural and musical heritage that struggles to retain its emotions and the melancholy it exudes. His fans, who have been following him since the days of Freckleface, the band he joined in 1970, ten years before T.C. Matic, are nostalgic to see him live on stage.
To pay tribute to the Belgian monument that is Arno, with his simplicity, discretion and distinctive style, on 30 September 2023, in the legendary venue that he considered his own home, the Ancienne Belgique will be celebrating one year of his latest album, OPEX. To mark the occasion, a Tribute To Arno is on the bill: ArnoMatic.
Vocally and musically, the band are so close to their live shows that if you close your eyes, you'll be mistaken for them. There's a certain hesitancy that makes you feel like you're there. While remaining faithful and respectful, Anthony Fanard's group ArnoMatic manages to transport us and bring us a little closer to the artist, which feels good and makes it easy to immerse yourself in the original works from the start of Arno's career. A unique concert for the occasion, a venue filled with stories of the singer's life and an ode to Arno!
