Electronica giant from Berlin goes live.
Sascha Ring, the well-known techno (and later minimal/ambient) producer from Berlin who is better know under the name Apparat, has just recently announced that he'll be releasing a new album entitled ‘The Devil’s Work’. It'll be out on leading label Mute and on 26 September. He recorded the album in Mexico with, amongst others, the assistance of Joshua Eustis and Fredo Nogueira from Telefon Tel Aviv. According to the man himself we may speak of ‘cool, contemplative dream-pop and bruise-tender Sigur Rós texture’.
This Sascha Ring is a restless factor in the contemporary electronica scene. He's one of the co-owners of the Shitkatapult label (on which his solo work was released), has worked with Ellen Allien on her albums ‘Berlinette’ and ‘Orchestra Of Bubbles’, and in 2009 he made a masterly album together with Modeselector (under the name Moderat).
