Admiral Freebee performs the best of his career for one night only this autumn.
Fans of Admiral Freebee: Take heed!! This is a golden opportunity to listen to the best of Admiral Freebee, who does not believe that he actually has any ‘best’ songs. A one-off concert in AB, a rock ’n roll show with full band to mark the occasion of the release of his singles collection this autumn. This is his fifth album, and was preceded by an untitled debut in 2003 and ‘Songs’ from ’05, both gold records. ‘Wild Dreams Of New Beginnings’ (recorded in ’06 under the aegis of Malcolm Burn) and his latest record, ‘The Honey & The Knife’ (’10) were also hits.
Following arguments with his record company, who wanted to give this singles collection the title of ‘The Best of’ while Admiral Freebee personally preferred ‘The Worst of’, it eventually became ‘Wreck Collection’.
Admiral Freebee has performed his effervescent music in AB seventeen times so far, so once more can’t hurt. This evening’s big surprise will be that, for the first time, he will explain why he tells the same jokes at every concert, while the audience remains the same. He also explains why he tightens up as his audience gets looser. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the music during this special concert, although we can guarantee the fun. We’ll see! AB, 26 October: all the laughter, all the shouting, and hopefully a bit of music too.
