Third birthday of leading Brussels record shop and label!
3 YEARS CREVETTE w. DE AMBASSADE + BLITZZEGA
Crevette opened its doors in the Blaasstraat exactly 3 years ago. Since then, the record shop has developed into one of the most leading-edge stores in Brussels. They are known for their excellent selection of electronic music. To celebrate their birthday, they put together a programme for our AB Club. Later in the year, Crevette will party on in C12 and Les Ateliers Claus.
De Ambassade is the alias of Dutch producer & analogue synth-sorcerer Pascal Pinkert (Dollkraut) and bassist Timothy Francis. They create dark synth-wave tracks with Dutch-language vocals and are inspired by films & series from the ‘70s and ‘80s. After releasing two successful 7” EPs, this year they put out their debut album via the influential Amsterdam label, Knekelhuis.
Blitzzega is the cold-wave project of Bjorn Eriksson, the composer and guitarist from Antwerp who is mainly known for his work with Eriksson Delcroix and Maxon Blewitt. ‘Bjorn Eriksson’s Highlight Reel’, the first full Blitzzega album, has a mysterious, erotic sound.
Brussels’ infamous Alex Deforce and Tele Talks are teaming up for a one-off poetry set for Crevette’s 3 year anniversary. Alex Deforce is a ‘café poet’ who released an album with Victor De Roo on Knekelhuis earlier this year. Tele talks is one of the established names in the Crevette family. A unique and never seen before collaboration between these two. Get mesmerised by the word smith himself .
