‘Suego Faults’, het debuut van de Brit Max McElligott ofte Wolf Gang wordt overladen met superlatieven. Zijn ‘The King And All Of His Men’ schopt het momenteel ten lande tot dikke vette radiohit en op zijn album vind je nog meer pure oorwurmen zoals ‘Lions In Cages’ en ‘Dancing With The Devil’. ‘Suego Faults’ werd opgenomen in de studio van en met Dave Fridmann (de ex-bassist van Mercury Rev die ook al intens samenwerkte met The Flaming Lips, MGMT en Tame Impala).

Willow, een zeskoppige indierock band met roots in Leuven en Brussel, tast gretig de grens af tussen pop en experiment. De late jaren ’80 zijn voor de groep een vruchtbare voedingsbodem voor een frisse mix van sferische riffs, warme synths, snedige drumpartijen en pakkende zanglijnen met ingenieuze popsongs als gevolg. Sinds 2009 gaat het steil richting jong heldendom voor Willow. Het zestal pakte toen de gouden plak in het Vlaams-Brabantse popconcours Rockvonk. In 2010 werd het nog mooier: de jury van Humo’s Rock Rally bedacht de band met de derde plaats en het publiek deed daar nog de KBC-Publieksprijs bovenop. Willow werd bovendien in 2011 door Studio Brussel getipt als één van de vijf ‘Bands die het gaan maken in 2011’. Ondertussen werkt Willow onverstoord door aan een langverwachte eerste plaat.
