Rocky komt altijd terug', het debuutalbum van BUURMAN, kreeg al veelsterrenrecensies in de Vlaamse pers en verschillende radiozenders speelden vijf singles uit het debuutalbum in de hoogst mogelijke airplayrotaties ('God, ik en Marjon', 'Pas 18', 'Midddellandse Zee', 'Rocky', 'Mooi weer en fruitsla').
Maar daar bleef het niet bij: BUURMAN verzilverde vervolgens zijn live reputatie.
Niet voor niets bestempelde het weekblad Knack BUURMAN als dé revelatie van het zomerfestival Dranouter, De Morgen en De Standaard spraken in superlatieven.
Na debuut ‘Rocky' nu dus tijd voor opvolger ‘Mount Everest'. Meer dan ooit verfijnt Verdickt zich in de kunst om met rake woorden 'films' te schrijven. En de groep rond hem ontbolstert zich verder als een muzikaal laboratorium.
De verwachtingen voor de plaat waren hoog, maar worden nu al ingelost: ‘Mount Everest' verrast, beklijft, en laat niet meer los.
De tournee ligt in het verlengde van de plaat: soms ruw en robuust, soms zalvend en broos.
Kom zelf kijken, luister en voel, want BUURMAN is en blijft een beleving!
