Yeasayer aime la Belgique et elle le lui rend bien ! Cette annĂ©e, nos Brooklyniens prĂ©fĂ©rĂ©s viendront pas moins de quatre fois combler leurs fans belges. AprĂšs une prĂ©sentation rĂ©ussie du nouvel album âOdd Bloodâ au Trix dâAnvers, le trio a confirmĂ© sa venue Ă Rock Werchter et Pukkelpop, cet Ă©tĂ©. Ils clĂŽtureront ensuite leur tour de Belgique par la grande salle de lâAB, le jeudi 28 octobre. Un rendez-vous Ă ne surtout pas manquer.
Yeasayer est, en effet, le genre de groupe capable dâassimiler tous les genres et toutes les tendances imaginables pour en ressortir un tout cohĂ©rent. Sâils y parviennent si bien câest en premier lieu grĂące Ă leur qualitĂ© de multi-instrumentistes audacieux et rĂȘveurs. Ce qui donne le genre d'albums qui nous emplissent d'optimisme sur l'avenir de la musique. Il en allait dĂ©jĂ ainsi pour leur premier album âAll Hour Cymbalsâ et l'analyse vaut encore pour le rĂ©cent âOdd Bloodâ. Combinant la pop de Tears For Fears Ă des bidouillages sonores Ă faire pĂąlir Lee Scratch Perry, le palpitant âAmbling Alpâ en donnait d'ailleurs un formidable avant-goĂ»t. Yeasayer forme, avec MGMT et Vampire Weekend, la sainte trinitĂ© de la crĂ©ativitĂ© musicale dĂ©bridĂ©e du Brooklyn de 2010 - qui, pour lâanecdote, fut fondĂ©e par des Hollandais sous le nom de Breuckelen.
