âSuego Faultsâ, le premier album du Britannique Max McElligott alias Wolf Gang, s'est vu couvrir de superlatifs. Au pays, son single âThe King And All Of His Menâ est en passe de devenir un Ă©norme tube radio et l'album compte encore bien d'autres morceaux tout aussi entĂȘtants comme âLions In Cagesâ et âDancing With The Devilâ.âSuego Faultsâ a Ă©tĂ© enregistrĂ© dans le studio et avec l'aide de l'ex-bassiste de Mercury Rev Dave Fridmann (qui avait dĂ©jĂ Ă©normĂ©ment collaborĂ© avec The Flaming Lips, MGMT et Tame Impala).
Willow, groupe d'indie rock se partageant entre Bruxelles et Louvain, explore avec aviditĂ© la frontiĂšre entre pop et musique expĂ©rimentale. La fin des annĂ©es 80 constitue, pour ces six musiciens, un terreau fertile oĂč s'entremĂȘlent, de façon originale, riffs sphĂ©riques, synthĂ©s chaleureux, parties de batterie tranchantes et lignes de chant fascinantes. Le tout se rĂ©sume par une suite de chansons pop ingĂ©nieuses. Willow s'est lancĂ©, depuis 2009, dans une chevauchĂ©e hĂ©roĂŻque. Le sextuor a tout d'abord dĂ©crochĂ© l'or au concours pop Rockvonk organisĂ© dans le Brabant flamand. En 2010, ils ont fait encore plus fort : le jury du Humoâs Rock Rally leur a accordĂ© la troisiĂšme place et le public leur a dĂ©cernĂ© le prix du public KBC. En 2011, Willow a en outre Ă©tĂ© dĂ©signĂ© par Studio Brussel comme l'un des cinq groupes appelĂ©s Ă percer en 2011. Entre-temps, Willow planche, imperturbable, sur un premier album trĂšs attendu.
