Fans de TNGHT et de bass music, checkez le protégé de Diplo!
Au même titre que Flosstradamus et Baauer, TNGHT (le projet réunissant Hudson Mohawke et Lunice) a ouvert la voie au trap, dernière variante dance en date qui allie, de manière explosive, hip-hop, dub et dubstep. L'AB présente deux de ses jeunes représentants :
UZ a.k.a. ︻╦╤─ ƱZ ─╤╦︻ (us)

︻╦╤─ ƱZ ─╤╦︻ n'étant pas des plus faciles à prononcer, on vous autorise à dire simplement UZ. UZ est l'instigateur des désormais célèbres ‘ŤɌ∆Ҏ ᶊῌῗ† series’ (lisez Trap Shit Series) apparues l'an dernier sur Soundcloud. Succombant au charme de sa musique, Diplo, Flosstradamus et Baauer ont énormément repris ses titres dans leurs DJ sets. Le premier EP d' UZ est désormais sorti via le label américain Jeffree’s, un sous-label de Mad Decent (cf. Crookers, Major Lazer, Snoop Lion,...). À voir pour la première fois en Europe.
Illunatic (b)
Le trap a également pris racine en Belgique. Illunatic, alias Pieter Van Gucht pour les intimes, a commencé à produire ses propres morceaux après avoir été soufflé par TNGHT à Dour l'été dernier. Son tout premier track, ‘B u m b a’, a directement rejoint la playlist de Studio Brussel dans le cadre de De Nieuwe Lichting. Une production belge au potentiel international.
Ninjato (b)
Avec l'adjonction de Ninjato, la soirée emmenée par UZ et Illunatic se transforme en véritable triplé. L'artiste électronica Ninjato vient de sortir l'EP ‘Chronicles of the 6 Samurai’ en auto-production. Son nom de scène fait référence au sabre porté par les ninjas. Il étudie à la PHL Pop-en Rockschool de Hasselt et ne cache pas son affection pour Flying Lotus, Eskmo et Amon Tobin. En 2008, il a fondé, avec quelques amis de la région de Gand, le label Caoutchou Records spécialisé dans l'électronica underground. RifRaf s'est extasié sur son EP et écrivait à ce propos : « du glitch bien lourd, influencé par l'écurie Brainfeeder ».
