Une soirée consacrée au très en vogue label de witch house Tri Angle.
L'AB est fière de pouvoir vous présenter une soirée – qui passera uniquement par Paris, Londres, Amsterdam, Berlin et Bruxelles - consacrée à l'un des labels électronica les plus passionnants du moment : Tri ▼Angle Records Records. Le sigle▼renvoie en premier lieu au witch house. Le genre, actuellement très en vogue, offre un mystérieux mélange entre r&b, dubstep, électro, drogues et sorcellerie. Le terme a même été désigné par De Morgen comme l'un des mots qui ont fait 2010. Tri ▼Angle Records Records est le porte-drapeau du genre et a notamment livré de puissants releases de How To Dress Well, Clams Casino et Ayshay. Il héberge également les groupes repris ce soir à l'affiche de l'AB :
Balam Acab (us)
Balam Acab – un démon bienveillant de la mythologie maya - est le pseudo choisi par Alec Koone. L'homme s'est imposé en 2010 avec l'EP ‘See Birds’ et son album ‘Wander / Wonder’ a été encensé partout. Pitchfork l'a porté aux nues avec une note exceptionnelle de 8.2. Le Humo l'a promptement gratifié de *** ½ dans sa chronique et De Standaard y va vu « un premier album renversant », le décrivant de façon tout à fait appropriée par « des brumes sonores hypnotisantes ».
oOoOO (us)
Derrière oOoOO (prononcez ‘oh’) se cache Christopher Dexter Greenspan, un disciple du ‘Untrue’ de Burial résidant à San Francisco. Son premier EP du même nom est paru en 2010 et rappelle l'ambiance de Fever Ray et de Salem. Boomkat disait à son sujet : “simply one of the most extraordinary debut records we've heard in a long time.”
Holy Other (uk)
On ne sait pas encore qui se cache derrière Holy Other et on prend les paris sur son lieu de résidence. Certains disent Berlin, d'autres Göthenborg et nous pensons qu'il pourrait s'agir actuellement de Manchester. Holy Other s'est déjà imposé à nous avec son EP ‘With You’. Pitchfork disait de ce dernier : “an ultimately rewarding piece of work”.
