Leur deuxiĂšme opus, âDecontrolâ, qui faisait suite Ă âSubcultureâ sorti en 2008, remonte dĂ©jĂ Ă 2011. Messieurs Pessemier, Lavogez et Loccufier (de la pure poĂ©sie, ces noms !) ont dĂšs lors dĂ©cidĂ© que cela avait assez durĂ© : le nouvel album âHologramâ est prĂȘt. Avis aux noceurs donc mais modĂ©rez tout de mĂȘme vos ardeurs car le nouveau The Subs s'annonce plus intemporel, plus universel et plus poppy. Au menu : un soul Ă vous remuer les tripes, du rĂ©tro-futurisme filmique Ă la française et des beats qui croquent sous la dent.
Pour ce nouvel opus, ils ont bossĂ© avec un paquet de guests qui leur ont prĂȘtĂ© leur voix, des pointures comme l'icĂŽne rĂ©tro-soul Colonel Abrams, l'acteur français Jean-Pierre Castaldi ou encore notre Selah Sue nationale. Ce disque est, selon leurs dires, Ă la fois leur plus accessible et leur plus expĂ©rimental Ă ce jour.
VoilĂ qui est particuliĂšrement excitant ! Mais si The Subs virent en direction de la pop et de la soul, il y a une chose qu'ils n'ont pas oubliĂ©e, c'est comment mettre le boxon et faire la fĂȘte comme si demain n'existait pas. Rendez-vous au 110, boulevard Anspach pour expĂ©rimenter ce qui se fait de mieux en matiĂšre d'ambiance festive !
Un homme VS quatre machines ! B(ert), qui moleste les fĂ»ts de batterie chez Goose, revient Ă la mĂ©thode old school pour balancer des beats techno Ă travers les speakers. Sur scĂšne, il engagera le combat avec deux boĂźtes Ă rythmes et autant de synthĂ©s. « Oubliez l'EDM, âBâ est prĂȘt Ă faire la fĂȘte avec de l'ELM (Electronic Live Music) qui dĂ©pote.» peut-on lire dans sa biographie et c'est un tout bon plan de l'avoir en ouverture de The Subs. L'heure est aux dĂ©hanchements !
