Le groupe est dĂ©sormais composĂ© des multi-instrumentistes Ben Knox Miller (Ă©galement au chant), Jeff Prystowsky, Jocie Adams et du nouveau venu Mat Davidson.

The Head and The Heart a émergé en 2009 lors d'une soirée open mic. Un an plus tard, ce sextuor originaire de Seattle sortait son tout premier opus en autoproduction, dans des jaquettes confectionnées à partir de jeans en denim. Persuadés par le potentiel de leur folk rock relativement traditionnel, les labels Sub Pop, pour les USA, et Heavenly Recordings, pour l' Europe, ont décidé de ressortir l'album à la mi-avril 2011. Leur tournée aux cÎtés de The Low Anthem sera l'occasion, pour nous, de les découvrir.
