Le tout dernier concert belge du duo franco-finlandais !
Olivia Merilahti et Dan Levy se rencontrent en 2005 pour la composition de la musique du film « L’Empire des loups ». Suite à cette collaboration Dan et Olivia décident d’associer les lettres de leurs prénoms et forment ainsi The Dø. Leur premier album “A Mouthful”, dont est extrait le tubesque ‘On My Shoulders’, sortira en 2007.
Trois ans après la sortie de leur seconde réalisation “Both Ways Open Jaws”, le duo franco-finlandais nous revient avec “Shake, Shook, Shaken” sorti en septembre 2014. Avec ce troisième album, The Dø opère un changement radical, un virage futuriste porté par une beat électronique syncopé. Dan et Olivia ont délibérément mis de côté les instruments acoustiques, dont les guitares, pour se concentrer sur les sonorités dance et les percussions synthétiques en travaillant principalement avec un laptop et un clavier. Le résultat est un disque puissant, émotionnellement fort, plein de surprises et d’instrumentations innovantes … et récompensé par une Victoire de la Musique pour l’Album Rock de l’année.
Après une Orangerie (Botanique) complète des mois à l’avance, un passage dans le Chapiteau des Nuits Botanique également archi-comble et une prestation aux Ardentes cet été, The Dø fixe un ultime rendez-vous à son public belge le mardi 8 décembre prochain à l’Ancienne Belgique. Un concert événement à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte !
