On retrouve le combo canadien The Dears en toute grande forme sur son nouvel opus âDegeneration Streetâ. Les fans de la premiĂšre heure reconnaĂźtront, dans leur pop orchestrale de 2011, le feu caractĂ©ristique de l'album âNo Cities Leftâ sorti en 2003 (avec lequel ils avaient d'ailleurs rempli l'ABBox, Ă l'Ă©poque). La magnifique voix du frontman Murray Lightburn fait toujours la force du groupe. L'album a Ă©tĂ© produit par Tony Hoffer (Phoenix, Belle & Sebastian) et sera disponible dans les bacs Ă compter du 14 mars. Leur nĂ©o-romantisme frise dĂ©jĂ les sommets sur le single avant-coureur âBloodâ et nous offre un Ă©chantillon de ce qui devrait nous attendre avec âDegeneration Streetâ : une pop chatoyante, des effusions d'Ă©motion et une soul baroque.
Nous entamerons la soirĂ©e avec les excellents Moss qui nous viennent des Pays-Bas. Leur second album, âNever Be Scared/Donât Be A Heroâ, est sorti sur le label Excelsior, Ă la plus grande joie des amateurs de musique et de la presse rĂ©unie. Leur son trĂšs personnel abrite le meilleur du rock indĂ©pendant avec des voix harmonieuses et une touche psychĂ©dĂ©lique. Une pop authentique avec un lĂ©ger twist.
