Cet auteur et compositeur britannique sort cet automne son 4e album âHome (part 1)â et il comporte Ă nouveau beaucoup de belles chansons intimistes.
Par le passĂ©, il est parti en tournĂ©e avec notamment, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Rufus Wainwright, Tori Amos et Robert Plant. Ce dernier a mĂȘme collaborĂ© Ă son 2e album âElsewhereâ paru en 2009 et se dit lui-mĂȘme grand fan de Matthews.
Avec son premier single, il a remportĂ© le convoitĂ© prix Ivor Novello qui rĂ©compense la âmeilleure chansonâ. Il y cĂŽtoie entre autres David Bowie, John Lennon et Damon Albarn.
