« Folk pastoral up-tempo » sont les premiers mots qui nous viennent Ă l'esprit en dĂ©couvrant âSigh No Moreâ, le premier album de Mumford & Sons. Le groupe est apparu dans le giron de la nouvelle scĂšne folk londonienne dont font Ă©galement partie Noah & The Whale et Laura Marling. Le premier single, âLittle Lion Manâ , est immĂ©diatement devenu un tube chez nous en inondant les ondes de Radio 1, Studio Brussel et mĂȘme MNM. Un nouveau single, intitulĂ© âWinter Windsâ, est sorti depuis et nous sommes Ă©galement nombreux Ă connaĂźtre par coeur les paroles de âThe Caveâ. Dans sa chronique, HUMO parlait de âchansons phĂ©nomĂ©nalesâ. Leur brillant passage au Crossing Border dâAnvers en novembre dernier les amĂšne, aujourdâhui, Ă donner un nouveau concert dans notre plat pays. Cette fois, ce sera Ă l'AB le mardi 27 avril.
La premiĂšre partie sera assurĂ©e par le singer-songwriter britannique Johnny Flynn. Parmi ses influences, il cite des artistes aussi variĂ©s que John Fahey et les Pixies. Mais il apprĂ©cie tout autant Yeats et Shakespeare Ă©tant donnĂ© quâil passe la moitiĂ© de son temps sur des scĂšnes de thĂ©Ăątre. Pour les amateurs d'anecdotes, sachez que Flynn a Ă©tudiĂ© Ă la Bedales School aux cĂŽtĂ©s de Lily Allen, Luke Pritchard de The Kooks et Patrick Wolf. Son premier album âA Larumâ a Ă©tĂ© particuliĂšrement bien accueilli dans son pays d'origine et a notamment reçu 4 Ă©toiles de la part des magazines Q et Mojo.
