Des reprises de country noire Ă la Alan Lomax
Moriarty, c'est ce sympathique combo franco-amĂ©ricain aux mĂ©lodies roots qui Ă©tait dĂ©jĂ parvenu Ă remplir sans peine lâAB et le Botanique Ă coups de country noire, de murder ballads, de chansons mĂ©lancoliques et dâharmonies vocales de toute beautĂ©. On se souvient encore de leur premier passage chez nous en 2009 dans le cadre de notre sympathique et instructif hommage Ă Alan Lomax.
Pour cette nouvelle date, la décision s'est prise trÚs vite, façon old school. On les retrouvera donc le mardi 22 avril à l'ABClub avec un programme trÚs original, intitulé Fugitives, qui reprend exclusivement des chansons de Woodie Guthrie, Willie McTell, John Hurt, Hank Williams et « d'autres songwriters anonymes célÚbres ».
Ou pour reprendre leurs propres mots : « On y croisera une galerie de fugitifs en tous genres, amants assassins et bandits de grand chemin, redresseurs de torts, mÚres abandonnées par leurs hommes accros au jeu ou à la bouteille, cowboys exploités, une femme adultÚre et fiÚre, un marchand de bonbons coquin, un veuf inconsolable. »
