Il faut dĂ©sormais sây habituer, depuis « Nights Out » en 2008, Metronomy sort un album tous les trois ans. La suite du magnifique « The English Riviera », paru en 2011, sera donc disponible en 2014 et sâintitulera « Loves Letters ».
Joseph Mount, chanteur, architecte et tĂȘte pensante de la formation Ă©lectro anglaise a le vent en poupe. Son prĂ©cĂ©dent album fut couronnĂ© de succĂšs, encensĂ© par la critique qui lâa qualifiĂ© de « visionnaire », « exotique » et « stylĂ© ». II lui a Ă©galement permis de dĂ©crocher une nomination au Mercury Prize, ainsi que de se produire sur des scĂšnes et festivals prestigieux partout dans le monde. Pour son retour, lâartiste Ă©tait Ă©videmment attendu au tournant. Avec son quatriĂšme album en forme de lettre dâamour prĂ©vu pour le 10 mars prochain, Metronomy nâa pas choisi la facilitĂ© en se lançant de nouveaux dĂ©fis. Il rĂ©ussit Ă rĂ©inventer dâanciennes recettes tout en restant hyper moderne. Pour preuve, le premier single que la formation a dĂ©voilĂ© ce 11 novembre dernier. « I'm Aquarius » est simple et efficace, un nouveau titre spatial qui jongle entre des couplets planants sur lesquels on reconnaĂźt aisĂ©ment la voix de Joseph Mount et des refrains entrecoupĂ©s d'une voix fĂ©minine. L'ensemble Ă©voquant une dĂ©licate balade qui promet le meilleur pour lâalbum qui proposera 10 titres dĂ©routants.
Les membres de Metronomy ont rĂ©ussi Ă s'imposer parmi l'Ă©lite de la scĂšne anglaise et internationale avec leur talent et leur originalitĂ©, sans oublier leurs remixes pour Lady Gaga, Franz Ferdinand, Justice, SĂ©bastien Tellier ou encore Gorillaz. Metronomy se produira le mercredi 2 avril prochain Ă lâAncienne Belgique pour un concert qui va vous faire bouger !
