Les Californiens de Local Natives reviennent!
Trois ans aprÚs un grand premier album, les Californiens de Local Natives reviennent avec « Hummingbird », un brillant nouvel opus, à fleur de peau.
« Gorilla Manor » sorti en 2009, a lancĂ© les quatre complices dans le circuit international. Ils ont parcouru les Etats-Unis et lâEurope sous leur propre nom, et ont Ă©galement jouĂ© en support de groupes tels quâArcade Fire et The National, et ils en sont revenus transformĂ©s. Entre la puissance des Canadiens et la prĂ©cision des New-Yorkais, Taylor Rice et sa bande ont trouvĂ© Ă leurs cĂŽtĂ©s une force fondatrice et une merveilleuse inspiration. Et le moins que lâon puisse dire est quâils ont parfaitement nĂ©gociĂ© le pĂ©rilleux tournant du deuxiĂšme album. Ils ont digĂ©rĂ© leurs mille et une rencontres et expĂ©riences avec une sĂ©rĂ©nitĂ© impressionnante sous le regard bien veillant dâAaron Dessner de The National Ă la production. Entre batterie synthĂ©tique et envolĂ©e de guitares, Local Natives est parti pour durer. Au croisement des chemins entre Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes et Fleetwood Mac, Local Natives trouve sa place et Ă©vite tous les clichĂ©s avec panache. DĂ©peint comme plus profond que son prĂ©dĂ©cesseur, « Hummingbird » est la suite parfaite dâune carriĂšre qui sâannonce brillante.
AprÚs un passage attendu sur la scÚne du Pukkelpop cet été, le quatuor prolongera en automne le cours de leur tournée mondiale qui a pris son envol le 17 avril dernier à Los Angeles.
