Mercredi dernier, Abtv vous à servi le concert de The xx, le hype du moment, et ce fût une ruée sans égale: 21.928 personnes ont visité le site web AB (en moyenne il en a 6277 par jour) et pas moins de 3.300 personnen ont regardé la diffusion du concert, un record absolu!

Elly Jackson (chant, clavier), Ă©paulĂ©e par Ben Langmaid (producteur, programmateur) forment le duo pop Ă©lectro du moment. Issus de Brixton, les deux comparses aux influences eighties pop synthĂ©tique et New Wave nâimaginaient pas il y a quelques mois encore le buzz quâils allaient dĂ©clencher suite Ă la sortie de leur premier single « Quicksand ». A vingt ans Ă peine, les textes Ă©crits par Elly Ă©voquent les expĂ©riences de toutes les filles de son Ăąge : les chagrins dâamour, la frustration, lâĂ©merveillement, les sentiments dâinvincibilitĂ© ou de fragilitĂ©. Lâalbum sorti en juin 2009 est un disque au parfum acidulĂ©, quasiment anachronique. On y trouve des titres accrocheurs et sautillants tels que « Bulletproof », « Fascination » et le dĂ©jĂ trĂšs connu « In For The Kill ». En concert, La Roux se montre tout aussi impressionnant, pour preuve leur passage au Pukkelpop qui a largement marquĂ© les esprits. SirĂšne au visage malicieux, Elly sâapprĂȘte Ă dĂ©montrer, sâil le faut encore, quâelle nâest pas juste une coupe de cheveux cool. Le duo belge Ă©lectro The Brown Acid a Ă©tĂ© rĂ©vĂ©lĂ©, il y a deux ans, grĂące Ă un concert teasing Ă lâABClub. Le projet bruxello-louvaniste connut par la suite une ascension fulgurante. Son premier single âTry Humanityâ fut Ă©nergiquement remixĂ© par le dubstepper amĂ©ricain Starkey et transformĂ© en hymne rave par lâinfluent producteur britannique Zomby. Quoi quâil en soit, leur premier album, âRun Into The Propellerâ, devrait voir le jour en 2010. Sur ce dernier, les deux hommes, tels des freaks schizophrĂšnes, passent de lâĂ©lectro au funk et de la house Ă lâindustriel en sâoffrant un dĂ©tour par le ghettotech et lâIDM.
