Alors qu'il fĂȘtait ses 60 ans en grande pompe, Kris De Bruyne, plus fringant que jamais, a enregistrĂ© en 2010 âLa Matanza Songsâ . Sur ce 19e album, on retrouve des chansons trĂšs diffĂ©rentes de ce Ă quoi il nous avait habituĂ©s.
Toutes les chansons ont Ă©tĂ© composĂ©es, soit sur l'Ăźle espagnole « El Hierro », soit dans l'arriĂšre-pays espagnol à « La Parroquia de La Matanza », ou encore Ă Molyvos sur l'Ăźle de Lesbos. Le soleil, quâil soit grec ou espagnol, a clairement baignĂ© de sa lumiĂšre l'Ă©criture de De Bruyne et l'a teintĂ©e d'une certaine lĂ©gĂšretĂ© dĂ©bonnaire. GrĂące Ă ses fantastiques musiciens (voir ci-dessous), les enregistrements ont Ă©galement eu lieu dans une ambiance particuliĂšrement chaleureuse. Et l'ajout d'un ensemble de cuivres est tout simplement unique !
Le premier single, annoncĂ© pour octobre, est âRecht op Dankâ et sera suivi, en dĂ©cembre, par la sortie de âI Kori Mouâ.
Des prémices trÚs prometteurs pour un album qui sera présenté dans son intégralité, à la presse et au public, le 2 février 2011, à l'ABClub.
