Du fingerpicking aux accents folk par un guitariste anglais basé à Chicago
En juin 2017, l’Anglais basé à Chicago James Elkington a signé, à 46 ans, son tout premier opus en solo « Wintres Woma ». Sur ce disque, enregistré dans le studio The Loft de Wilco, Elkington montre sa parfaite maîtrise du fingerpicking et prouve qu’il est un compositeur, guitariste et chanteur hors pair. L’artiste affiche une pléiade de collaborations à son compteur, notamment avec Jeff Tweedy, Richard Thompson, Steve Gunn, Michael Chapman, Joan Shelley et Nathan Salsburg.
