Un folk métal post-rock de choc venu de Corée !
Enfin de retour après deux ans, avec un nouvel album « A Hermitage » au label Bella Union (ici via Pias) et toujours ce noyau dur composé d’Ilwoo Lee, Bomi Kim et Eun Youg Sim.
De retour à l’ABClub, et une chose est sûre :
Jambinai fait un potin magnifique. Ce groupe originaire de Corée du Sud navigue entre world ambient méditative et post-rock apocalyptique ou folk métal.
Bref : difficile à décrire, mais une performance volcanique sur scène !
Notre envoyé spécial admira ce groupe pour la première fois au Womex, le salon des musiques du monde, et nous avait confié à l’époque : « Prêts pour une surprise explosive ? Originaire de la Corée du Sud, Jambinai combine état d’esprit métal et instruments traditionnels, un mariage qui ne manque pas de provoquer quelques déflagrations post-rock apocalyptiques. »
Tambours, claviers et guitares, vous connaissez ? Initiez-vous donc au haegum, au piri et au geomungo, autant d’instruments coréens que Jambinai incorpore sans tabou à « notre » palette pop rock habituelle (et pourquoi pas un xylophone au passage ?).
