Difficile de ne pas ĂȘtre fan de Grant Lee Buffalo avec cette musique toujours Ă la croisĂ©e du rock, du folk et de la country. Les classiques âFuzzyâ (93) et âMighty Joe Moonâ (94) comptent aujourdâhui encore parmi nos albums de rĂ©fĂ©rence. Et nous ne sommes pas les seuls, puisqu'Ă l'Ă©poque, R.E.M., Pearl Jam et The Smashing Pumpkin les avaient emmenĂ©s avec eux en tournĂ©e. En 1998, le leader Grant-Lee Phillips mettait un terme Ă l'aventure de Grant Lee Buffalo pour se lancer dans une carriĂšre solo.
Depuis lors, il a sorti une poignĂ©e d'albums dont le dernier en date âLittle Moonâ a rĂ©cemment marquĂ© les esprits. Knack en a dit : « Des chansons d'un niveau que Phillips a trop rarement atteint ces derniĂšres annĂ©es » . Humo : « En 15 ans, Phillips ne s'Ă©tait jamais montrĂ© aussi convaincant. » AprĂšs tout ce temps, nous sommes heureux dâaccueillir une nouvelle fois Grant-Lee Philips dans nos contrĂ©es !
La premiĂšre partie sera assurĂ©e par le Belge Silver Junkie. Silver Junkie est le projet du chanteur et guitariste Tino Biddeloo qui a sorti, ce mois-ci, un premier album intitulĂ© 'Streets & Boulevards' (produit par Frank DuchĂȘne). Une musique marquĂ©e par les affres de la vie. Le single 'Maria', dont nous vous recommandons vivement le vidĂ©o-clip (un petit bijou d'animation), en est un intrigant prĂ©lude.
