Originaire de Minneapolis, ce multi-instrumentiste a dĂ©jĂ collaborĂ© avec Andrew Bird et Bonnie âPrinceâ Billy.
Dosh (Martin Luther King Chavez Dosh pour l'Ă©tat civil) est l'un des trendsetters de la scĂšne musicale actuelle de Minneapolis. TrĂšs tĂŽt dans sa carriĂšre, il faisait dĂ©jĂ des collages sur 4 pistes avec ses claviers Fender Rhodes et toutes sortes de percussions. Son premier album âDosh CDâ est paru sur l'Ă©minent label d'avant-hop .anticon. Dans sa ville natale, il a par la suite apportĂ© sa contribution au groupe Fog (dont les albums sont parus sur Ninja Tune). Il a aussi Ă©troitement collaborĂ© avec Andrew Bird avec lequel il a Ă©crit une sĂ©rie de chansons pour ses albums âArmchair Apocryphaâ et âNoble Beastâ. Son dernier effort en date, intitulĂ© âTommyâ, est paru en 2010 et il vient de sortir un CD uniquement disponible en tournĂ©e dont vous pouvez Ă©couter ici le titre âJay Jayâ.
Son nouveau projet parallĂšle porte le nom de Cloak Ox et on y retrouve notamment - histoire de boucler la boucle - Andrew Broder de Fog.
Ce concert s'inscrit dans le cadre du projet âMinneapolis, Mon Amourâ que l'AB a mis sur pied pour la saison 2011-2012. Cette sĂ©rie de concerts dĂ©diĂ©e au patrimoine musical de la mĂ©tropole amĂ©ricaine nous permet de cĂ©lĂ©brer les 30 ans de âSorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trashâ, le premier opus du groupe de rock amĂ©ricain The Replacements. L'AB s'empare de ce vĂ©ritable pilier de l'histoire du rock pour, entre autres, prĂ©senter les concerts de Soul Asylum, The Jayhawks et Grant Hart, ainsi quâune soirĂ©e hip-hop dĂ©diĂ©e au label Rhymesayers et une exposition consacrĂ©e au label Twin/Tone.
