Et pour commencer un newsflash de notre guitariste américain préféré : 'NEW RECORD: Mexico City sessions. I've recorded deep in the "bible belt" and in the heart of the "money belt". Never been to the "borscht belt" but I've heard of it. Anyway, this time around it's Mexico. Mexico City is like the Rosetta Stone of our own urban future. I was there couple months back and found a state of the art studio (state of art circa 1958) and fell in love with the place. As the bottom falls out of the big lie here at home, I'll be aiming my telescope backwards from a vantage point 7,000 feet up in the "city of eternal spring". And really, who doesn't like spring?'

On ose espérer que lorsque la grippe sera passée, Chuck nous reviendra en bonne santé de Mexico City, car s’il y a un concert à ne pas manquer, c’est bien celui-ci. Une guitare électrique à la main, notre Prophet prêche avec ferveur et sincérité la Passion du rock 'n' roll. Et il se montre toujours aussi inventif et incroyable de précision. Depuis 1990, Chuck Prophet nous livre des albums solo d’une rare force mais il a su également s’illustrer en tant que side-man et compositeur pour Dan Penn, Solomon Burke, Alejandro Escovedo, Cake, Warren Zevon ou encore Silos (remember AB BelleVue Club?) sans oublier le divin Green On Red.
En ces temps particulièrement difficiles pour les maisons de disques, notre intrépide guitariste a également fondé son propre label (((Belle Records))) dont le nom s’écrit effectivement avec six parenthèses. Après l’excellent 'Soap And Water' et un splendide concert à l’ABClub en 2007, le voici de retour avec ses musiciens du Mission Express et ses 'Mexico Sessions' (chez Cooking Vinyl via V2)
