Avec BMTH, c'est l'heure du mosh pit et du chaos metalcore !
Bring Me The Horizon
Qui voit-on se profiler à l'horizon ? Cinq solides gaillards originaires de Sheffield, en Angleterre, le metalcore (littéralement) gravé sur le corps, qui se répandent copieusement en guitares dévastatrices, roulements de batterie incandescents et rùles occasionnels.
Avec âSempiternalâ, quatriĂšme album studio de Bring Me The Horizon, le leader Oli Sykes et sa bande se sont pleinement Ă©panouis. Ils sont allĂ©s chercher l'inspiration dans les BO de films comme â28 Days Laterâ et âThe Beachâ de Danny Boyle. Et cela s'entend⊠On notera une plus grande attention portĂ©e aux mĂ©lodies, un son plus riche et plus arrangĂ© (merci Ă Terry âDeftones-Limb Bizkit-Panteraâ Date), des compositions moins carrĂ©es, avec des influences Ă©lectroniques variables en fonction des chansons. En rĂ©sumĂ©, le groupe a nettement mĂ»ri. Metal Hammer, notre magazine mĂ©tal prĂ©fĂ©rĂ©, s'est mĂȘme Ă©criĂ© Ă propos du disque : âSempiternal isnât simply the best album of BMTHâs career. Itâs one of the best albums of recent timesâ et on n'osera pas le contredire.
On avait vu BMTH en grande forme au Groezrock. Cet Ă©tĂ©, ils joueront un max en tĂȘte d'affiche du Vans Warped Tour. C'est donc un groupe extrĂȘmement rodĂ© que l'on retrouvera en novembre. Jetez un Ćil, sur le web, aux vidĂ©os de leur dernier passage Ă l'AB (le live de âPray For Plaguesâ a Ă©tĂ© visionnĂ© plus de 108.000 fois !) et vous saurez immĂ©diatement Ă quoi vous en tenir. C'est l'heure du mosh pit !
Pierce The Veil
Avec son puissant metalcore mĂ©lodique aux relents poppy, Pierce The Veil peut se considĂ©rer comme l'invitĂ© spĂ©cial de la soirĂ©e. Le groupe emmenĂ© par les frĂšres Fuentes a sorti, l'an dernier, un troisiĂšme opus du nom de âCollide With The Skyâ. Un titre qui convient parfaitement Ă leurs prestations scĂ©niques oĂč ils entrent volontiers « en collision » avec leur public. Dans leur AmĂ©rique natale, ils ont dĂ©jĂ mis le boxon sur scĂšne aux cĂŽtĂ©s de August Burns Red, Blessthefall, Silverstein ou encore A Day To Remember (Ă voir Ă l'AB le 7/02) et c'est aujourd'hui au tour de Bruxelles de passer Ă la casserole !
Sights & Sounds
Le coup d'envoi sera donnĂ© par Sights & Sounds qui a sorti son premier opus en 2009, âMonolithâ, rĂ©alisĂ© sous la houlette du producteur et musicien Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad). Un groupe de post-hardcore pour le moins Ă©nigmatique quand on sait que le post âNew music and tour announcements coming soon everyone! Stay tuned...â sur leur page Facebook remonte au 30 mai. Ănigmatique ou pas, ça va saigner avec ces Canadiens.
