Le protégé de Xavier Rudd sort enfin un CD et sa tournée passe par l'AB.

Ben Howard s'est montré, à plusieurs reprises, remarquable en première partie de Xavier Rudd et on a appris à voir en lui ce musicien d'apparence fragile mais ô combien unique. Ce surfeur britannique au teint blême se distingue surtout par sa voix mélancolique et un étrange jeu de guitare, à vous donner des frissons. Chacun de ses concerts est venu renforcer notre conviction dans son pouvoir de séduction : aucun mélomane ne peut lui résister !
Ben Howard a donc bouclé son premier album intitulé 'Every Kingdom' (à paraître chez Pias) et après une vaste tournée au Royaume-Uni cet automne, il fera escale sur le vieux continent où il n'avait pu se rendre en février 2010 suite à un accident de train près de Bruxelles (cette petite précision s'adresse uniquement aux fans qui avaient été profondément déçus à l'époque).

Et nous terminerons par une de ses déclarations éclatantes de franchise : 'I was brought up in Totnes, South Devon.. neatly nestled between the moors and the sea. I travel lots, surf when I can, probably drink too much, definitely think too much, and at 22 still make irrational choices. I like the outdoors and the Autumn. I'm happiest on the road or at home with friends.
Musically I started playing and writing as a kid and it's maybe the one thing that's never changed. Mum was a big listener to all the greats- the likes of John Martyn, Joni Mitchell, The Rolling Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, Donovan etc so that's played a big part in my life (Dad was more of a Yes and Pink Floyd man). Our tape collection is pretty good:)
