Chanteur et compositeur de son mĂ©tier, Dan Smith a vu le jour un 14 Juillet, symbole de la prise de la Bastille. Et c'est ainsi qu'est nĂ© du mĂȘme coup Bastille, l'ultra hype projet londonien. âFlawâ, âOverjoyedâ et âBad Bloodâ, ses trois premiers excellents singles particuliĂšrement accrocheurs, regorgent de beats hip-hop puissants et d'une Ă©lectro pop tout en fluiditĂ©. Ce projet solo aujourd'hui transformĂ© en quatuor s'est, par la mĂȘme occasion, vu propulser dans de nombreux classements listant les projets en passe de faire un carton. Le nouveau single âPompeiiâ est annoncĂ© pour fĂ©vrier, le premier album en mars chez Virgin/EMI et leur show Ă l'AB Club en avril. Les choses vont clairement crescendo pour Bastille.
En Grande-Bretagne, ils ont jouĂ© Ă guichets fermĂ©s au KOKO, club londonien d'une capacitĂ© de 1500 places. Ils ont Ă©galement assurĂ© la premiĂšre partie d'Emeli SandĂ© et de Two Door Cinema Club, et ils en ont mis plein la vue Ă Glastonbury, Ă Reading et Ă Isle Of Wright. Sur le continent, ils se sont brillamment illustrĂ©s au festival de showcases Eurosonic Ă Groningue, aux Pays-Bas. La preuve avec Bart Steenhaut du Morgen qui Ă©crivait Ă ce propos : « une Ă©lectro accrocheuse avec, au premier plan, des mĂ©lodies radiophoniques et des beats qui cognent, le tout marquĂ© par des refrains qui vous restent en tĂȘte ». Bastille est d'ailleurs arrivĂ© en 9e position de son top 10 Ă l'Eurosonic !
Stavroz
Stavroz. Un nom qui sonne comme une marque de vodka russe mais on est bien loin de tout cela ! Ce duo gantois dans le vent jongle plutĂŽt avec l'Ă©lectronica, la house, le jazz, le swing et les ambiances gypsy. Un groupe clairement Ă l'aise dans tous les registres. Ă lâinstar dâune bonne vodka, leur musique rend tout guilleret et les pas de danse deviennent, du coup, un poil plus faciles que d'ordinaire. Leur try-out officiel aura lieu Ă Gand le 20 avril au Charlatan mais on pourra dĂ©jĂ les dĂ©couvrir trois jours plus tĂŽt Ă l'AB. Les choses vont bon train pour Stavroz !
