Danceable beats, a bomb of a voice and a tight lightshow? Billie has it all!

Billie who? Her name may not be familiar, but you’re sure to recognize her voice. Billie (Billie Bentein, in full), from Blankenberg, has already travelled half the globe as vocalist for Netsky!

In between the many live shows, this singer-songwriter worked on her own songs. Early 2015: Billie sent her solo debut ‘Give Me The Knife’ out into the world. A future Belgian electro-pop queen was born! Before Billie even had time to realise it, Flanders was singing along to “give me the knife, before it ends up in a kill” at the top of its voice – though some had understood that as ‘kiss’. You wish!

She recorded the video for successor ‘Caught By The Tide’ in London. She kept closer to home for EP title track ‘Talking Loud’. The director of the clip is none less than Mickael Karkousse, frontman of Goose!  Put Billie in a dark space, add smoke curtain and mysterious lighting, and you enter into her own little world. That Billie and Goose form a good combination is something that also became apparent from the debut EP that is due to arrive on Friday. Drummer Bert Libeert let his producer talents loose upon it.
